Download: YPCC Juniors Welcome Pack
We are really proud of our junior programs. They are held in high regard by parents, who say our junior programs are extremely well run and welcoming! Read the feedback in the YPCC Juniors Survey Report 2010/11.
We have four different programs and they are all open to boys and girls.
- In2Cricket "Have-a-Go" and "Have-a-Game"
- Super 8's
- Under 12’s competition cricket
- Under 14’s competition cricket

In2Cricket "Have-a-Go" and "Have-a-Game" Programs (5 to 8 years)
These programs are for boys and girls aged between about 5 and 8 years old. They are heaps of fun and get kids involved in running, catching, throwing, batting and bowling. The focus is on enjoyment, and introducing kids to the fundamental skills of cricket.
These programs are run on Saturday mornings starting in November.

Participants receive structured sessions in small age-based groups conducted by trained volunteer coordinators.
Cost is approximately $60 for each child participant, which includes about 10 - 12 sessions (one per week), a fantastic Starter Pack (see below) and delicious lunch after each session.
Each child participant receives the Starter Pack comprising:
- A multi purpose backpack
- A lightweight cricket bat
- A soft rubber cricket ball
- A SPF 30+ T-Shirt
- A sunsmart bucket hat
- MILO giveaways and more!
Further information about the program, including lesson plans, policies, safety and FAQs can be found on the Cricket Australia website http://cricket.com.au/in2cricket.
Super 8's (9 to 12 years)

This is a great introduction to real cricket matches for boys and girls aged 9 to12 years of age who might not be quite ready for competition cricket.
Super 8's cricket are real games played with semi-hard balls, and kids wear pads, gloves and helmets. Kids bat in pairs for two overs. If they get dismissed they just change ends. Everyone bowls, and gets a go at wicketkeeping.
It's been fantastic to see the dramatic improvement in all the Super 8 players’ skills and confidence. There have been some very exciting games played!
Super 8's are played on Wednesday evenings starting in October.
Under 12's and 14's Competition Cricket
Our "Powerful Owls" U/12 and U/14 squads play competition cricket in the North West Metropolitan Cricket Assocition. Our teams are open to both boys and girls. Games are played on Saturday mornings using the normal rules of cricket. To learn more about our Powerful Owls, come down to training.
